New Script Policy.
You can order repeat scripts online (register with photo ID at reception first), or in writing at reception, or by emailing firstname.lastname@example.org
It takes two working days to process a routine repeat script request.
We do not accept medication requests over the phone for safety reasons.
If you are late, your community pharmacy is allowed to give you an emergency supply of repeat medication while you put a routine request into the practice.
Hospital scripts – you do not need an appointment for these – just bring in your hospital letter/script and we can prescribe on their advice.
Not on your repeat list? – you may need a review. Please fill in the ‘not on repeat’ form and await the practice pharmacist to contact you if necessary.
Emergency script requests – to prevent severe illness – e.g. insulin, inhalers, anti-epilepsy meds, epipens. Occasionally emergencies happen, but please respect our staff and only use this service exceptionally.

5k Macmillan Run
In May 2018 three Richford Gate GPs decided to train for the 5k Macmillan Run! They all managed to finish and have so far raised nearly £1,000:00 for a great cause.
We hope to take part in this yearly event regularly from now on. The “Couch to 5k” app was a great help- highly recommended!
Date Protection Laws are changing. To make sure you can access weekend and evening appointments at GP practices that offer them, you must consent to share your records with those practices.
Fair Processing Notice
Patients should be aware that that if you consult GP services via a mobile phone App, this may result in you being de-registered with Richford Gate Medical Practice. This is NOT us removing you as a patient, but by consulting this service you are effectively registering with them as your provider.
By registering at another practice, your notes will be removed from our system and there is a theoretical delay in retrieving them should you decide to register back with Richford Gate Medical Practice.
We now have a practice pharmacist employed called Zaneta who can perform medication reviews and other checks like pill check rather than having to wait for a GP appointment. Appointments can be made either by ringing the surgery or by booking an online appointment

- BP medication check
- Pulse and medication check
- Medication review
- Pill/contraception review
- Appointments regarding a medication/prescription query

You can now book an appointment 4 weeks in advance and the on the day appointments can now be booked from 0815 for both morning and afternoon appointments
You wanted more appointments in the evenings and at weekends........we introduced an evening clinic, saturday morning surgery and a pre-bookable early morning telephone clinic.
You wanted more flexibility in our appointment system...............we reviewed our system against neighbouring practices and changed the balance between pre-bookeable and bookeble on the day. We have also increased capacity in the afternoons.

Book Appointments On-Line
We are pleased to announce a new on-line booking system and improved repeat prescribing service. Please download the Systm One Online Services Registration Form and bring it to the surgery with photo-id. We will then issue you with a unique login name and password. This service is NOT available to under 16's

Friends and Family Test
We are dedicated to improving the treatment you receive at our practice. The new Friends and Family Test asks you to complete a quick survey. If we have your mobile number you will receive a text message after your next visit and you can text your responses to the survery questions.
